oh my. spring break is in one week. i'm so excited to go home!
recent news: i was just cast in an opera, which is going to be playing in san francisco in may. i'm sort of extremely excited. even though i'm only in ensemble, i am still so stoked because i've never been in an opera before, let alone with a professional company!! also, i just decided a few minutes ago that i am coming back to ndnu next year. that's about it. i'm also sick right now, but it's okay because everything else is going well.
also, i've made some more good friends which is helping to make school more bearable.
more updates soon, perhaps.

too many classes. far too many classes.
i'm overwhelmed and i don't understand how it is physically possible to make it through this semester alive. i have SO MUCH WORK AHHHHH
on a lighter note, at least i enjoy all of my classes!
but i've had no time for friends or even a decent meal lately. all i had time to eat today was a bowl of captain crunch. being busy can be fun, but this is just pure madness. |

woo hoo!
i just started classes! here's what i've got for my schedule this semester:
-introduction to philosophy
-history of western music 1650-1850
-introduction to classical literature
-class piano
-french section 2
-introduction to psychology
-concert choir
-individual voice lessons
-vocal performance and repertoire
yes, it's true. i'm taking 9 classes. that's 19 credits, baybee. ugh. plus i don't even get credit for concert choir, because otherwise i'd have to pay for 20 credits. so they're making me take it but not giving me credit. yessss.
it's going to be a busy semester, i think.
on the upside, this kid nick (who lives on my floor) is GIVING me his autoharp! so that way, the music department can have theirs back. yessss! i'm so excited!
i still need to buy my books for this semester. i don't know how i'm going to afford this. ugh.
and no boys for me this semester. i've had quite enough of that.
i do believe that i am completely done with classes for today! well, i could go to math but i'm dropping it. so i really see no point. |

i mean, i didn't have to work or beg for it or anything. i just called up and said, hey can i pick up shifts?
yessss i love golden spoon!

well, I'm back at school! My break was extremely short but so lovely! It was so nice to spend time with my parents and Paisley. And I got to see Emma, Gilan, Sophia and Emily, so life is okay. I didn't eat any golden spoon the whole trip! But I did bake banana bread and eat at numero uno's. only a few more weeks before i go home for christmas break! yayyy!!! |

I'm flying home today... I can't WAIT to sleep in my own bed!
and golden spoon! i dreamt of golden spoon and nutella last night. my two weaknesses in life, you could say.
i still have one more class... I honestly believe my school is the only one still in session. it's thanksgiving tomorrow! why am i still in school?!?! |

update from earlier today: while working in the music department, i was cleaning off old, dusty shelves and came across a beautiful autoharp! so i got SUPER excited, because i've always wanted to learn how to play the autoharp and my boss is letting me use it to teach myself how to play! and it's super easy and i feel like a little hippie folk singer now. it's lovely! :) i want to be the next june carter cash. yessss! |

sooooo basically i had one of the most unproductive days ever. i skipped my first class because i thought that Christina and I were going to go shopping and I waited 3 hours for her, but she slept in. so we didn't go and i missed class for no reason. but whatever.
then i went to my private voice lesson but my teacher was sick so the lesson was cancelled. so i went back to my dorm and took a shower.
now i'm at work. doing nothing.
and tonight, i'll probably do nothing.
i can't WAIT to go home and eat del taco and golden spoon. yesssss.
and go to RUBY'S!!!
i'm SO thankful that thanksgiving break is going to be here soon.
